Exceptional Singes (Monkey) folding screen, Its four panels are decorated with judge monkeys (because of their white beards) from Parisian Jardin des Plantes, "Garden of the Plants.”
By winning the gold medal at Salon des Artistes Français, our Singe folding screen launched
Saïn’s career. Multiple public and private commissions followed and soon the artist was working on major projects like the Normandie liner interiors where he collaborated with Jules Leleu, André Ardus and Jacques Quinet, amongst others.
