In February 1960, Marc du Plantier was commissioned to design the private office apartments of the Transportation Minister, Mr. Michel Maurice-Bokanowsky. For this sumptuous and impressively sized décor, the artist created a pair of seven-branch and a pair of ten-branch candelabra. Today, the entire interior is part of the Mobilier National Collection in Paris. As a souvenir from the project, Du Plantier made another pair of the seven-branch candelabra for his own collection. We now present this exceptional pair, from the artist’s personal residence.
